Face archive 2016
In 2016, I immortalized an ongoing facial expression, then dubbed 'I'm aware of my future, not afraid' which I would later reproduce onto thousands of stickers set to invade the walls of Belgrade and beyond. I was sixteen. I'd go to any social gathering, bar, nightclub, etc., handing out three stickers per person. One was meant for them, one for a person they loved, and the third for to be dispatched to a faraway place - not foresee the inevitable. I'd see myself in places I have never been before - the sticker - marking my actual living, breathing, a public comfort zone for years to come.
Due to prior negligence to documentation and my many now deceased electronics, only a small number of records of the unafraid sticker's whereabouts survive.
This work initiated the later micro interrogation of childhood expressions in series of digital collages.
